sometimes the biggest satisfaction in life for me is possibly confirmation. it can come in the form of words, actions, certificates, reports, small gestures of appreciation and many many more. this is because i know that the efforts i have put in are recognized by the people around me and the extra mile that i have taken to help others has been felt by those who received it. :) i guess it all boils down to how much pride, dedication and interest you put in. at the end of the day when you received confirmation from others, you know that you have reaped what you sow. you know that you are on the right track and this motivation will spur you on - because you know it is worth it. :D

not long ago we were celebrating rv's 50th anniversary at ucc in 2006 and today i am attending the school's 55th anniversary at a totally new campus which we have all contributed in the building of it. not only that, we have given our time and effort to it. it was nice seeing the familiar faces that had taught us before however disappointing and saddening when you know that they would be leaving soon or had left. regardless of the changes, we will still hold dearly to the memories that we had because they are the most vivid and happiest moments in my education life so far. afterall, it is still our alma mater. :)
despite several personal reminders to blog, i kept procrastinating and was rather busy during this period of time. xmas was over in a blink of an eye and somehow i don't feel any festive spirit during xmas this year. probably because i had to work on both xmas and boxing day so both days past real fast as if it was a normal working day. following xmas next was new year. this year round i got to experience the new year in a totally different new perspective at vivo, sjps and sentosa and i have to say that it was really an eye opener and nice experience. although i could not soak in the atmosphere with the rest, it was nice observing them. moreover it showed me how cosmopolitan singapore has become as more people are embracing nightlife activities especially during festive seasons. i have to say i have gain more knowledge on singapore's society but i'm sure there are more waiting for me to see.
haven't been blogging for quite some time. nothing interesting has been going in my life except that i'm left with less than 1 year of my NS stint. personally i don't really dread it because i learnt alot of more things such as singapore society, the untold and unseen parts and stories of singapore. it is certainly very intriguing and it really makes me know how small my world was in the past. geographically speaking, there are so many places and parts in singapore that i have not been to and i really want to go explore them with an open mind.
oktober has ended and november is starting which means that i'm nearing my ORD date. alot of my seniors have already ORD-ed or are going to ORD soon which makes me envious. but i shall remain optimistic because i knw there is still alot of things for me to learn, see and experience in the real world in my current occupation which i may never have the chance to experience in future. :) | ||||||
